We are a non-profit organization governed by a board of volunteers and created in honor of Kasandra Michelle Perkins.
It is our purpose to be a help to children who have been orphaned by domestic homicide.
Kasi was a Texas native, a natural born performer and an energetic spirit. She was a daughter, a sister,a friend to many, and a brand new mother. Kasi fell victim to domestic violence on December 1, 2012. She was just 22 years old and left behind an infant daughter. The tragic loss of this vibrant, loving soul inspired her family to give back to a cause now near to their hearts. Kasi's Kids will work to benefit children orphaned by domestic homicide.
Currently, donations will go toward purchasing items & materials to make care packages for the children.
When a child has suffered the loss of their parent from domestic violence homicide, we would like to provide a care package personally tailored to the child. Possible items may include: toys, activities, age appropriate books on domestic violence and death, a picture frame for their loved one, and a personal-sized pillow handmade by our volunteers. A personal note will also be included to let them know there are people who truly care about them and what they have experienced.
