What is Kasi’s Kids?
We are a 100% volunteer non-profit organization based in Texas. We are family, friends, and volunteers working towards a common goal.
To help children (and their families) who have been orphaned by domestic violence homicide.
How can we help?
Through fundraising and private donations, we address immediate physical needs, as well as assist the family though this devastating
process. We work with families or care takers, and can work with other agencies to further meet the needs of the children. We can help
by offering general guidance, referrals, contact resources and other agencies for the family, offer emotional and or spiritual support,
and deliver donated items when possible. Every situation is unique and our help is custom to the situation.
In hopes to provide some amount of comfort, we would like to provide a care package personally tailored to the child. Possible items may
include: toys, activities, age appropriate books on death or loss, a picture frame for their loved one, blankets and movies. A pillowcase
handmade by our volunteers will be included. Children's bibles available.
Who is Kasi?
Kasi was a Texas native, a natural born performer and an energetic spirit. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend to many, and a brand new
mother. She was a vibrant, loving soul who cared about others and volunteered her time to help others. She is missed daily.
On December 1 2012, Kasandra Michelle Perkins (Kasi) was shot to death by her boyfriend, an NFL football player; followed by his own suicide
with their infant daughter left behind.
In going thru this tragedy, Kasi's family realized that there were very few resources for children who had lost their parent(s) as their
daughter had. Kasi's Kids hopes to fill that void. Kasi's dream was to make a difference in the lives of children. We honor her by continuing
on with that dream.

Becky Thompson-Gonzalez / Founder
Okay Kasi's Kids supporters.. We are taking in the Crowley Texas family that lost 4 family members this past week due to domestic homicide/suicide. Xiomara Leon, mom of 3 children was killed, along with her daughters Linda Gonzalez, 18,and Yasmine Zavala, 13.
The child that was left behind is a nine year old boy. Xadrian needs clothing (size 10 slim pants and size 10 shirts- shoes size 3) and will need a twin bunk bed, bedding and storage space to combine him with his cousin in his new home. His room will be decorated in Marvel comics. His family member says that anything that helps combine storage space for his room would be greatly appreciated. Two 9 year old boys will share the room.
This is what we do- we help the family help the child to get settled in quickly to his new home. We want to ease this process so that this family can focus on preserving memories and their grieving/healing process. Imagine going thru all he has, and sleeping on the sofa or the like, on top of everything else? Imagine losing your daughter and/or sister and two of her children, and needing to manage getting him settled, along with comforting him and everyone else at the same time that you are planning three funerals....
First and foremost, prayers are needed! Donations are needed for the items listed above and counseling donations are requested for the near future. Kasiskids.org accepts Paypal donations. Kasi's Kids is 100% non profit and all donations go to the children in the form of purchased items on the list. If you know of a business that would donate the bunk beds, counseling, or storage, please contact Debra or Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org
